AJ's thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail: There are times when doing what you want and doing something good just slip into the same space. My Mom has cancer. I planned to hike the Appalachian Trail. Those two things happened together. Now I'm asking folks to help other women in need by pledging support for my trip. Enough people with just a penny a mile can do some good for those who do not have access to the type of care my mom has recieved. Thanks much and please follow me on my wanderings.

Cold last night but good company. Shared a shelter w/ Mike and Tom & they kindly gave me a ride into town. In the 20's tonight so a hostel & hot shower for me
Snow, yck, what is he thinking? You are a Florida Man, walk faster and beat old man winter before he finds you. Historically I do remember that us Floridians did complain about not having any good snow until you got further north than where you are today. Joan aka Mom
Boy, I should hope sooo---20 degrees! Might be nice to wake up to walking the trail in snow--or maybe not. Hang in there.
